Volkswagen Beetle: India launch scheduled for 4th of December, in Mumbai
Beetle enthusiasts in India, it's time to rejoice...
Volkswagen will launch the iconic Beetle in India on the 4th of December this year, in Mumbai. The original VW Beetle first came out in the early 1930s, and in the several decades that have passed since then, the car has evolved and garnered a cult status for itself all over the world.
Of the different Beetle variants available worldwide, we believe VW, in India, will launch the model with the 1.6-litre, 100bhp petrol engine, which is mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. This car costs the equivalent of about Rs 10.25 lakh in Europe, so Indian prices could be in the region of Rs 15-20 lakh. This, of course, is because VW will import this car as a CBU and will have to pay more than 100% import duty on the vehicle.

Technically, I'm not a huge
Technically, I'm not a huge fan of Beetle cars but this little Beetle Barbie edition caught my attention. I love the style, color and flowmaster. It reminds me of my favorite Enclave.
