Volkswagen Sharan debuts at the Geneva Show

The VW Sharan could provide some much-needed competition to the likes of the Toyota Innova and Mahindra Xylo, if Volkswagen decides to bring this vehicle to India...

The all-new Volkswagen Sharan MPV has made its world debut at the currently ongoing Geneva Motor Show. Based on an all-new platform and featuring twin sliding doors, a seven seat configuration and a range of frugal yet powerful petrol and diesel engines, the VW Sharan also features eco-friendly features like stop-start technology and regenerative braking.

The VW Sharan will go on sale in Europe later this year. We believe Volkswagen might consider the possibility of launching this vehicle in India as well, to take on vehicles like the Toyota Innova and Mahindra Xylo.
