Volkswagen Polo launched in India, prices start at Rs 4.34 lakh

The much awaited Volkswagen Polo hatchback is now in India. The car was launched earlier in the day today, in Mumbai. The 1.2L petrol version is priced at Rs 4.34 lakh (base model) while prices for the 1.2L TDI diesel start at Rs 5.32 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. The cars will be available in VW dealerships across the country from March this year.

The Volkswagen Polo petrol is fitted with a 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engines that produces 75 horsepower and 110Nm of torque, while the diesel version comes with a 1.2-litre four-cylinder engines that makes 75bhp and 180Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.

Depending on the version, the VW Polo comes with bits like 15-inch alloy wheels, dual airbags, ABS, electronic anti-theft immobilizer, CD MP3 player and height-adjustable driver’s seat. The top-end petrol variant costs Rs 5.72 lakh and the top-end diesel version is priced at Rs 6.70 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi.
