Topless Stingray concept to star in Transformers

I loved Transformers – the movie. Though Michael Bay didn’t manage to create the numinous aura that his earlier films – Armageddon and Pearl Harbour – flaunted; Transformers still was an amazing visual treat just because of the plot, the concept, graphics and, of course, the vehicles that featured in the movie. I couldn’t use the term ‘cars’ since there were not just cars in it, but trucks, a jet fighter, a tank – everything, all the jazz!

Which Autobot was your favourite? I liked the Bumblebee, primarily because it was the latest Chevrolet Camaro and I’ve always been a Camaro fan. There was another Chevy in the star-cast though – Sideswipe.

Sideswipe was essentially the Chevrolet Stingray Concept – member of the good guys. And now there is, if the rumours are to be believed, going to be a new one – a topless Sideswipe!

The Stingray concept has undergone a chop-job to shed its roof and is going to be seen in a topless form. The Stringray concept in its current guise itself looks spectacular; I cannot even begin to imagine how immensely gorgeous it will look with the roof off. I am prepared to watch the entire Transformers movie, even if it is declared crap, just to see this car go about doing its business.
