Popular British car magazine, Autocar is running a poll by which it will decide its ‘Car of the Decade,’ and one of the contenders in their list is India’s very own Tata Nano! With cars like the Audi R8, Bugatti Veyron, Nissan GT-R, Porsche GT3 and the Rolls-Royce Phantom also being there on the list, the Nano is in hallowed company indeed.
Now, while high-performance cars and/or very high-end luxury cars are made by so many manufacturers across the world, there’s only one car that offers affordable motoring to families that may otherwise have to settle for a two-wheeler. You need to have seen a family of four – man, wife and two kids – travelling on a scooter to realise exactly what the Nano may be able to achieve in the Indian context, and what it could mean to hundreds of thousands of people in our country who may have never been able to afford a car were it not for the Nano.
If you love the Nano as much as we do, we suggest you visit the Autocar website and vote for the great little car now!
