The 2010 Bentely Mulsanne, which was unveiled at the Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance in Monterey, California, in the US last month, is now on display at this week’s Frankfurt Motor Show. The car is fitted with a revised version of Bentley’s 6.8-litre twin-turbo V8, which produces 512 horsepower and 1,020Nm of torque.
Inside, there’s a 40GB HDD satellite navigation system, telephone and Bluetooth connectivity, 6-CD-changer with 14 speakers, (an even higher-spec Naim system is optional), keyless entry and keyless start systems, electrically operated rear-seat blinds for side and rear windows, pure wool, deep pile carpets and more wood and leather than you can possibly imagine. The car rides on 20-inch wheels (21-inchers are optional) and, of course, everything can be extensively customised.
‘No other car maker can offer such a blend of performance and refinement in a single vehicle. The new Mulsanne is a car that evokes the Bentley philosophy of building the best luxury grand tourers in the world,’ says Bentley Motors Chairman and Chief Executive, Dr Franz-Josef Paefgen. We believe you, Sir.
