The 2010 Maserati GranCabrio looks sumptuous and has the go to match the show

The Maserati GranCabrio, the Italian company’s first four-seater convertible, has made its international début at the Frankfurt International Auto Show. With this, Maserati’s product line-up now consists of three different families of models – Quattroporte, GranTurismo and GranCabrio – sedan, coupe and convertible respectively.

Designed by Pininfarina, the Maserati GranCabrio looks absolutely sumptuous – we love this car! And to go with the gorgeous styling, there’s a suitably powerful 4.7-litre, 433bhp, V8 engine under the hood, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission that transfers power to the rear wheels.

According to Maserati, the GranCabrio has been fully optimised for high speed handling dynamics and its aerodynamics, structural rigidity and suspension and braking systems are second to none. Its electro-hydraulic soft-top opens/closes in less than half a minute and can be operated at speeds of up to 30km/h. Inside the cabin, there are all the luxury accoutrements you might expect, including a high-end Bose stereo system.

Pricing and availability details for the Maserati GranCabrio will be announced shortly.
