Fiat India looks all set to go to war against the Honda City, which rules its respective segment. For this, Fiat has unveiled its new Linea Turbo at the currently ongoing Auto Expo. This version of the Linea comes with a 1.4-litre T-Jet turbocharged petrol engine, which produces 110 horsepower and 200Nm of torque. The car also gets Fiat’s five-speed ‘Dualogic’ semi-automatic gearbox and will be priced at Rs 9.5 lakh OTR, when it’s launched in the country in March this year.
Fiat also unveiled a diesel-engined version of the Grande Punto, fitted with a 1.3-litre, 90bhp common-rail turbodiesel. Apart from this, a CNG-compatible Punto, two special edition Puntos – Sport (1.3-litre diesel engine) and Trendz (1.2-litre petrol engine), and the superb little Fiat 500 were also on display.
