The 2011-spec Audi A8 will be the first production car to have the Google Earth application integrated into its navigation system, which will be able to search for and retrieve internet content via a mobile phone network, using an integrated GPRS/EDGE modem. With the new Google Earth enabled navigation system, the A8 will allow its drivers to plan their navigation destinations in advance, via Google Maps or the Audi web portal, at home or in the office, and then retrieve that information in the car.
Of course, by the time the new Audi A8 is out in the market, we suppose Mercedes-Benz and BMW would have also developed a similar feature for the S-Class and 7 Series cars… :-)
