The first Škoda Superb Estate recently rolled off the production line in Kvasiny, in the Czech Republic. According to the company, this is the most luxurious estate car yet to wear the Škoda badge and offers a class-leading load volume of up to 1,865 litres with the rear seats folded down, and 633 litres with the rear seats up.
A choice of three petrol and three diesel engines will be available in the Superb Estate, as well as manual and DSG automatic transmissions. Optional features include a keyless entry and ignition system, an updated park assist system, electronically operated boot opening and panoramic sunroof.
Škoda has sold close to 33,500 units of the Superb worldwide, between January-October 2009. The company will start producing the right-hand-drive version of the Superb Estate in January 2010, though we don’t think it will be launched in India, since there doesn't seem to be a big enough market for estates here.
