| The Sonata Transform is the creatively re-designed Sonata Embera. The new car has undergone a complete transformation and now comes with plenty of functional adornments and awesome performance to give a new dimension to the car. The re-designed Sonata carves its own niche in the premium sedan segment. It is available in three variants in India: 2.4 VTVT (petrol), 2.0 CRDi MT (diesel), and 2.0 CRDi AT (diesel). The 2.4 VTVT is powered by a second generation Theta engine that generates 174 bhp and offers enhanced drivability and fuel efficiency. The diesel variants are powered by a powerful common rail engine that is mated to a Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) to deliver 149 bhp of power and improved fuel efficiency.
