Soichiro Honda founded this leading automotive company in 1948 which is head-quartered in Tokyo, Japan and it is the largest engine manufacturer in the world. Honda Siel Cars India Ltd., (HSCI) was set up in December 1995 as a joint venture between Honda Motor Co. Ltd., Japan and Siel Limited to manufacture passenger cars in India. Honda Siel Cars India Ltd. is ISO 9002 & ISO 14001 certified.

Honda started its presence in India with the Honda City, and met with instant success which was followed with the cab-forward design and is continuing that success even now with the City ZX. Other offerings are in the shape of the Civic, Accord and the CRV have also seen noteworthy sales figures. To cash in on the small car segment in India, Honda is working on offering a hatchback based on the Jazz, which should hit the Indian roads by 2009.

The Honda Accord is an ideal family sedan with appealing interiors made of fine materials, superior handling, excellent performance, and a host of good safety features. This splendid car with a completely redesigned exterior and interior comes with a larger wheelbase and is highly competent for Indian roads. The cabin is very spacious and packs a lot of upscale luxury features. It comes in 3 variants - 2.4, 2.4 Elegance, and 2.4 Inspire. The engine is a 2.4-litre i-VTEC that delivers an impressive 178 bhp output. The engine is available with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 5-speed automatic. The roomy and plush interior comes with beige leather upholstery, a dual tone dashboard, dual zone air conditioning, paddle shifters (only with AT), and an in-dash 6-CD changer with rear seat controls. The overall length and width of the new Accord has been increased by 80 mm and 25 mm respectively, making its dimensions the best in its class. Although the size of the car is large, there is no compromise on driving pleasure or fuel economy. The new Accord is 8% more fuel efficient than its predecessor. The car also comes equipped with the best safety technologies such as 6 intelligent airbags (including side curtain airbags), Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) body, and G-Force Control Technology (G-CON).

The Honda City made a grand entry into the Indian car market with a completely new design to replace the existing Honda City ZX. The exclusive 'Arrow Shot Form' design is a blend of alluring style, enhanced performance and improved safety. It's called that because the face of the car resembles the tip of an arrow and the rear resembles the shape of the arrow's feathers. The City is available in two variants - E and S. Both variants are powered by a 116 bhp 1.5-litre 4-cylinder Honda i-VTEC engine and are offered with a 6-speed manual transmission. The 'S' variant is also available with a 5-speed automatic gearbox. The City delivers a safe ride as it packs plenty of advanced safety features such as ABS with brake assist, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), ECU engine immobilizer system, and an impact energy-absorbing car body that incorporates Honda's G-CON (G-Force Control) technology.

The Honda City ZX is a real head turner with gorgeous styling, a confident stance, and supreme performance. This Honda car is powered by a superb VTEC engine that comes with iDSI technology that meets all challenges. The City ZX comes in four variants in India: EXi, GXi, CVT, and VTEC Plus. The EXi, GXi, and CVT variants are equipped with a 1.5-litre i-DSI engine that delivers 77 bhp and generates 126 Nm of torque. The VTEC Plus gets a 1.5L VTEC engine that delivers 100 bhp and 135 Nm of torque.
